At onMedia, we support companies in the digitalization of processes and modernization of operations. However, security often gets left “for later”.
The problem is that “later” is usually when the system is in production, with real users and sensitive data, which makes security more costly and urgent.
That's why I decided to take on the challenge of continuing my training in cybersecurity, recognizing the fundamental importance of this area. This decision not only represents an academic achievement but also a personal and professional commitment to excellence in the solutions we offer at onMedia.
In organizations with low digital maturity, the rapid adoption of tools and systems, such as e-commerce, internal platforms, and automation, can create risks if security is not integrated from the beginning.
This can lead to excessive access permissions, poorly protected sensitive data, exposed infrastructure, and rushed integrations. Well-implemented cybersecurity is not an obstacle but a way to build more solid and less vulnerable systems.
What changes in our projects from now on?
We detect risks early.
We incorporate a structured view of risks before defining technologies: what data is being handled, who accesses it, and what integrations exist, helping to avoid vulnerabilities when digitalizing processes.
We design security by default.
We make architecture and product decisions from the very first prototype, considering roles and permissions, session management, environment separation, and best practices in development. Security is integrated into the design, not added at the end.
We protect infrastructure and critical data.
As companies digitalize, data becomes central assets. This involves managing access, controlling changes, and securing configurations, addressing the entire system, not just “the code”.
In a nutshell
Completing this degree allows me to elevate the standard with which we work at onMedia. Not just in words, but in concrete decisions in every project.
Cybersecurity is not a trend. It is a requirement for digital solutions to work long-term, grow without becoming fragile, and not create unnecessary risks.
If your company is about to launch a platform, modernize a system, integrate services, or digitize processes, at onMedia we can help you do so securely and sustainably.
